Nails by Weird Girl is a press-on nail business based on the Morute aesthetic and made for alternative styles. Each set is handmade to be bold, unique, and totally customizable. Made to order.
What are press-on nails?
Press-ons are ready-made, full-cover nail tips that you apply with glue right onto your natural nails. It only takes around 10 minutes, and if you take care of them, they can last up to two weeks. They can be reused as long as they don't chip!
How did Nails by Weird girl come to be?
I’ve loved nail art ever since I was small, spending weekends experimenting with old polishes from the 2000s and challenging myself to come up with a new design every week. But no matter how much effort I put in, the polish would chip after just a few days, and if I made a mistake, it was nearly impossible to fix without starting all over again.
That all changed in the summer of 2024, when I discovered gel polish. Suddenly, my designs lasted more than a few days, and I finally had the chance to bring to life the intricate, detailed patterns I had only imagined before. It gave me freedom to express my style and match my nails to every emotion and outfit I had, sometimes a little too weird for many, but always me.
Seeing the limited nail art options in Romania, I wanted to create something different. I wanted my alternative friends to feel loved through an exploration of styles. That’s how Nails by Weird Girl was born, a space for all the weird girls (or girls from any gender!) who want nails that are bold, unique, and weird, without feeling ashamed of their aesthetic.
